This poster series celebrates the 60th-anniversary of NASA. GALACTIC TOUR InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop This poster series celebrates the 60th anniversary of NASA. The challenge of this project was having to use existing photos from the NASA space Hubble. I wanted to showcase Earth's neighboring planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars while also showing what exists around these planets.

The Abandonment Series is about some of the buildings and landmarks of Fort McClellan in Anniston, AL. Abandonment Series This series is about Abandonment. I felt this subject relates to our current events dealing with COVID. We have had to abandon most of our routines and everyday activities. I chose to photograph some of the buildings and landmarks at Fort McClellan, AL because this was a thriving place when I was growing up. The Fort closed in 1999 and is now a mixed-use community with bike trails, neighborhoods, businesses, and a golf course. I chose the look from a Holga camera and a wet plate process for some of these images. The beauty of a Holga camera is that it has natural imperfections, a vignette, long exposure times that gives the image a blurred or static look, and light flares. I chose this style because people may not use a Holga camera because of imperfections. It makes the image look older and grainy and shows unwanted specks of light and spots. But I felt it was fitting for the decaying unwanted buildings.

Hexes & Ohs is a made-up magic store that sells stationery sets, fresh herbs for potions, custom wands, and magnetic bookmarks. HEXES & OHS MAGIC SHOP Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop This project started by being asked to make a stationery set for an imaginary business. For inspiration, I had gone to a local thrift store and found a skeleton key and a poison label, and POOF! Hexes & Ohs was born. Hexes & Ohs is a magic store that sells stationery sets, fresh herbs for potions, custom wands, and magnetic bookmarks. I wanted to tie in my love for Halloween and Harry Potter which is where the color palette and items sold were inspired.

Black Embers emerged from my obsession with coffee and cigar packaging. The primary goal of Black Embers is to bring people together, make new memories, and relive old ones. BLACK EMBERS - A WICKED BLEND Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, and Laser Engraver Black Embers emerged from my obsession with coffee and cigar packaging. The primary goal of Black Embers is to bring people together, make new memories, and relive old ones. When I smell coffee, I remember my grandmother and her sister and the times my aunt would fix me milk with a splash of coffee in a “fancy” cup. Cigar packaging became a later interest when I went to my first cigar bar in Gadsden with my husband and rekindled my love for packaging. Black Embers’ aesthetic brings earthy tones to complement the natural amber tones in the coffee beans, tobacco leaves, and wooden boxes. The name comes from the embers that roast coffee and the ash that falls from cigars. The skull logo shows the intensity of some flavors and uses fire to smoke a cigar and roast coffee beans. I engraved the wooden elements to bring out the wood grain's beautiful line work and smoky aroma. The idea of the poster was to use a crosshatching technique that combines fine lines to create depth and mimic the wood grain and icons representing the brand and the products. I hope Black Embers places you in a meaningful time, like remembering a loved one, celebrating an event, or just winding down after a long day.
